Oh Shannon, how little we knew about you. You were daddy's little girl and your step mom hated you, your step-brother, well, he wanted more than he could have with you (until he saved you), and the one person who really seemed to love you... he lost you.
Here's a round-up of what I caught....
1) Some people in the office missed Jack in the Hospital. He just skimmed out of the scene when Shannon was coming to check on her dad.
2) I find it interesting how many of the Lostaways have parents (or step-rents) that only seem to want to use them. Shannon's step-mom "abandons" her after her father dies. Locke's dad "abandons" him after he get the kidney. Jack's dad to "abandons" him after the staff meeting, and his mom basically threatens the same thing if Jack doesn't go to retreive him. Walt's step-dad "abandons" him after Walt's mom dies and for that matter, Michael sorta does the same thing when he gives Walt up to his mom. Claire was "abandoned" by her boyfriend after he talked her into keeping Aaron and then she almost gives Aaron away in the adoption. Sun almost "abandoned" Jin in the airport. And finally let's not even get started on Kate or Sawyer!
3) My next theory is that the reason that Shannon was in France was because she ran out of money and took the au pair job from the "Frenchman" that had the little girl in the ballet class. Thus learning French, and knowing how to translate the "transmission" and recognizing Beyond the Sea when it was on Rousseau's notes.
4) I hope that someone is able to find out what Walt is saying. The last time people ran his dialog backwards and found out what he was saying about the, "button is bad, don't push the button" or somethinglike that. I will update if I hear something.
5) I think that Sayid saw Walt as well as hearing the Whisperers in the Jungle. One of the big to-do's on The Fuselage is whether or not he saw Walt.
6) How about that comment about "Did you see the children" that came out of the mouths of the Tailies.... I bet that next week we find out that there were a lot of children in the back of the plane and the ones (3 then 9) that were "taken" (notice she didn't say killed?) were the kids walking through the jungle.
7) And how did Cindy disappear? She was there one minute and gone the next... Weird, huh?
Good episode this one... but I ready for one of the weird "mystery" ones and it looks like we are getting one of those Next Week!
