Google releases new software.... And you may want it!

Google has released two pieces of software in the last two days that you might want to know about.

First, yesterday, they released their new BROWSER to the world. Named Google Chrome, it is built from the ground up to try to take advantage of the AJAX world being built on the web and try to give it the speed of desktop apps. I downloaded it and will give it a try for a while to see how it compares to IE and Firefox but it will take a lot to drag FF3 from my cold dead hands.

You can read more about Chrome and download it here.

Then today, they released a significant update to their Picasa software. The Public Beta version 3.0 of Picasa is meant to add a lot of new capabilities and tie more into their Google Photos product. New information can be seen here on the Google Photos blog and here on the Picasa discussion pages.

The new version is US only for now and can be downloaded here.

Enjoy....

And I hope to be posting more... and believe me, I have some things to rant about.

Is it just me or does Google seem like it's out to be the WalMart of the World Wide Web?

'Bout time you came out of hiding.
Let us know how you like the new browser.
