Hot on the heels of the aforementioned Pi day and Einstein's b-day we present 3.15.07, The Ides of March.
Unless you are a Roman Emperor or play a part in a local remake of Shakespeare plays, The Ides (not the eyes as Yahoo reports) probably don't mean a lot to you. Observed on the 15th of March, May, July, and October and the 13th of all other months, the 15th of March became synonymous with Doom and Gloom thanks to William's play about Julius Caesar and his fall at the hands of Brutus and the Roman Senate. "Et tu, Brute" and "Beware the Ides of March" have become part of the English vernacular due to the famous production.
In Rome, the Hash House Harriers carry out a Toga Run in the same area where Caesar was killed.
Enjoy the Ides... Beware the Ides!
