If you don't vote... Don't Bitch.
That was my advice during my teaching years to students who griped and griped (usually repeating only what they heard coming out of their parent's mouths, but not always) about whatever was the topic of the day.
But would they go the polls to cast their vote? Probably not. My response was simple and to the point.
You get the government you elect. If you don't vote... Don't Bitch.
Anymore though I'm a lot more fond of a quote from V for Vendetta (The Comic came first in the 80's by the way)....
People should not be afraid of their governments.... Governments should be afraid of their people.
Get out and vote people.... For whomever you want, but don't complain later if you won't.
