I am a really big fan of the book and I think this is really cool.
The judge, Justice Peter Smith, is known as a humorous kind of guy anyway and in his official ruling a lawyer noticed that he had placed seemingly random Italicized letters. Once the letters were written down, the first 9 spelled out "Smith Code". The other look random, but fans of the book are now trying to see what, if any, message is hidden in them. The full story is via Reuters on Yahoo News.
If you have never read The Da Vinci Code or Dan Brown's other books like Angels and Demons they are very taught, well written thrillers that are FICTION tied around actual facts. Regardless of the controversy surrounding the books and how they "twist" Christian religious beliefs, the stories are well told and, as far as I could tell, do not ever actually say that any of its background story is true.
Open your minds and try a really good read... or two....
