Story is here -- Televangelist warns of evolution doomsday - Science - MSNBC.com
This man is an idiot and if this is what conservatives want as a representative of their "Christian" beliefs... Then I know I'm on the correct side of politics!
Who does he think he is? First, I thought Intelligent Design was supposed to be about a "higher" power, any "higher" power, being involved in the changes in life. Second, the citizens of Dover may not have rejected the Christian God so much as they rejected the idea of changing how SCIENCE is defined. Oh and, by the way, "Thank you" to the 6 members of the Kansas School Board for redefining 3000+ years of historical edict. Third, and I am just supposing here, but I guess God must have spoken to Mr. Robertson and let him know that all of that stuff about "casting of stones" and "turning the other cheek"...They just don't apply to Mr. Robertson...but I'm just guessing about that.
You know how vague and encompassing Horoscopes can be? That's how Pat's remarks read. “I’d like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don’t turn to God, you just rejected him from your city. And don’t wonder why he hasn’t helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I’m not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city.”
WHAT? If a disaster comes???? This sounds like his rant about God sending Katrina to wipe out the EVIL little town of New Orleans. Why is everything bad that happens to his supposed enemies an act of God and everything bad that happens to his friends an act of SATAN? Maybe its just an act of Nature!
Right now I am so livid I could spit! (Sorry about the mental picture) Anyone who would like to debate me on the merits of this VILE, SELF-RIOTOUS, LITTLE man, feel free to start talking back! I'm looking forward to the FLAMES!
