LOST -- Everybody Hates Hurley?

Well, last night episode was interesting. Not so much in what the story revealed but in how the story was told. It was a much lighter episode compared to the three episodes that came before it. No big explosions (almost), no great big mysteries added to the pile we already have, and, to my surprise, no long string of images with the numbers (unless I missed them).

Here's my observations:

1) Jack and Sayid are tying to figure out what's behind the "magnetic" wall and their not going through the 8 foot of concrete or underneath the floors. But they did find a towel laden Kate enjoying a hot shower. Kate: "You could use one too."

2) Hurley saw his world fall apart once and he's bound and determined not to let it happen again... but dynamite? And Hurley blowing up food is the last thing I would have expected.

3) Locke does his own thing... again. Jack says not to tell anyone about what's in the bunker until they know what is going on there, but Locke has other plans and that lead me to.....

4) Charlie. Is it just me or is he kinda whiny? "You've become The Man"? Now I understand that the Peanut Butter was for Claire, but, really, that was harsh man... and "SuckShaft" was really funny.

5) The bottle. Oh how I wished that someone would have opened it and started reading... never mind... Sawyer already did that. Get the feeling that Sun didn't bury it deep enough?

6) Finally the two items I didn't (but Sandra did) see coming. The "feast" and Bernard. Actually I already knew that Bernard was alive, I just didn't expect that actor to be him... I think it has something to do with the "pain-in-the-arse" roles he tends to play... and nothing racist here, but I was expecting someone less melanin challenged. As for the feast, not until the moment that the scene changed to night did I go, "Oh, lets all dig in...."

Overall a very good episode since it allows us to take a breather in the action that I'm sure is going to ratchet up soon. What with the Others having taken Walt (where's he right now?) and then the clash you know is going to happen when the "tailies" meet the "lostaways"... hang on for a wild ride!

These are my initial thoughts.... More info over on The Fuselage!
